We loved everything about Vernazza! It is way more beautiful than I had pictured! It almost doesn't look real! The restaurants, food, drinks and dessert were all delicious! We hiked above the town and had breathtaking views! We were there in March so we had some rain upon arrival in the morning, but the sun came out on our hike and it was beautiful! We walked every where from the train station~ it was so easy to get around! The shops are darling and we bought several items! I would HIGHLY recommend visiting Cinque Terre!!!

We loved Vernazza.
We loved Vernazza. We enjoyed the views, the little harbor was beautiful.
The Tower views over looking the ocean and village was fantastic!
Our experiences in several restaurants were excellent. Plenty of shops for Souvenirs. Vernazza was also a great home base to visit the other villages of Cinque Terre. Our favorite Village.

City is beautiful with fine restaurants, but nearly impossible during the day when tour groups and day tourists overrun the town. Hiking was even difficult due to the number of persons on the trails. Trains between Cinque Terra towns were extremely crowded and unconfortable and station boarding platforms were shoulder to shoulder with passengers. We used the ferries instead of train if not in a hurry.

The towns of the Cinque Terra are lovely alright, and worth a visit. But, when I was there, it was a bit Venice-y - crawling with (other ;-) tourists. We booked an overnight in a hotel in Vernazza and it was in the evening, when the trainloads of day-trippers had departed, that you got a real feel for the place. My advice: don't do a day trip, do stay over at least one night.
My stay here in May 2022 was a treat. Room 2 is a lovely, well appointed room. The host was warm and welcoming and the location is perfect. It is like staying in a mini-hotel. I didn't want to leave and if my budget didn't depend on the lowly NZ dollar, I would have stayed longer. This place is 9.9 out of 10! My only tiny problem was the saggy mattress; maybe in need of replacement.
Room 2 has a fridge, which is great for avoiding the expensive charges for breakfast in Vernazza.
This property was everything we could have asked for. It was right in the heart of Vernazza with a balcony view of the sea/harbour and the town. The apartment had everything we needed, with a dining area, lounge, bedroom, bathroom and air conditioning. The host is so lovely and met us outside the apartment, showed us around it and gave us advice for places to see. I will definitely stay in this property again when I come back to Cinque Terre!
Amazing property and location!! The room was much larger than expected. We stayed in the split level room at the top of the building. It was amazing opening up the window to see the church bell and ocean. Incredibly relaxing atmosphere. The hotel is associated with a restaurant at the base of Vernazza (near the waterfront, where you check in), and they give guests 10% off. We had dinner there the first night and it was delicious!
Amazing location! Breathtaking view of Vernazza.
The staff are incredibly helpful- Lisa and Lorena went out of their way to make sure our stay was great.
They provide pictures on how to get to the property from the train station. They provided recommendations on what to do and where to eat in the Cinque Terre.
We had lunch at the restaurant - amazing food!
We will definitely be back! Thank you so much!
A hand-hewn stone abode with gorgeous views and a touching and authentic back story like few you may encounter in a life-time. All nestled in Vernazza and the UNESCO protected site of Le Cinque Terre. A place of unique beauty and impact. Signor Giuliano, his nephew Luri, and staff, define Hospitality from proper Wifi to bottles of cold water in the fridge, no aspect of caring is neglected here.
Excellent location! Steps from the train station and perfect for hopping around Cinque Terre. The apt is right on the main street, so you feel like you’re a part of everything but it’s quiet once you step inside. The balcony overlooking the street allows you to have the best of both worlds. While it isn’t glamorous, everything you need is within the apt for an easy home base.
Lovely little apartment in Vernazza, a perfect spot for visiting Cinque Terre. The apartment is perfectly located (but you do have to climb a lot of stairs to get to it so keep that in mind if you have mobility issues). The owner is very kind and picked us up at the train station; he also kindly provided coffee and other breakfast things.
I definitely recommend staying here!
Really spacious and the door is about 10 yards away from the main front of Vernazza. Donna left food and wine for us and we were allowed into the room early which was needed after doing part of the Cinque Terre walk with bags. Air con was also very good so we were very comfortable during the recent heat wave. Couldn’t recommend staying here more and will hopefully be back
What we liked the most was actually the location of this accommodation, it was literally 100 meters away from Vernazza's train station. When you travel with a lot of stuff, like luggage or backpacks, feels great to find the place you are going to be next to the station, especially in a village like Vernazza in which there are a lot of stairs and "stone-bricks" streets.
We loved everything of la Polena apartments. The place was very clean and so romantic. It’s in The center of Vernazza, Virginia and Federico have been so kind and always available to help us. They will give you The best suggestions for the Cinque terre and They’ll make your experience in this lovely place unforgettable.
The hotel is just off of the main street in Vernazza, super centrally located. The room I chose had a living area separate from the bedroom and bathroom which made the apartment feel super spacious and a few windows that you could open. There was a mini fridge and a coffee maker too.
You get more than you pay in this very clean hotel in Vernazza. For me, the nicest town of Cinqueterre. The location is excellent, next to the train station. The room is confortable, with air conditionair.
The apartment was spacious, very clean and well decorated....very comfortable. The location was perfect. We found Vernazza to be the most charming of the five Cinque Terre cities.
the amazing location of the hotel right on the main Piazza in vernazza .
there is no elevator but they helped us with our luggage up and down which was so nice of them.
Vernazza is the best base to visit Cinque Terre. We were delighted to stay in this apartment for two nights as the base. The host is amiable and helpful.
