We loved Vernazza.
We loved Vernazza. We enjoyed the views, the little harbor was beautiful.
The Tower views over looking the ocean and village was fantastic!
Our experiences in several restaurants were excellent. Plenty of shops for Souvenirs. Vernazza was also a great home base to visit the other villages of Cinque Terre. Our favorite Village.

City is beautiful with fine restaurants, but nearly impossible during the day when tour groups and day tourists overrun the town. Hiking was even difficult due to the number of persons on the trails. Trains between Cinque Terra towns were extremely crowded and unconfortable and station boarding platforms were shoulder to shoulder with passengers. We used the ferries instead of train if not in a hurry.

The towns of the Cinque Terra are lovely alright, and worth a visit. But, when I was there, it was a bit Venice-y - crawling with (other ;-) tourists. We booked an overnight in a hotel in Vernazza and it was in the evening, when the trainloads of day-trippers had departed, that you got a real feel for the place. My advice: don't do a day trip, do stay over at least one night.

Great little village on the water on the Cinque Terre.
Great little village on the water on the Cinque Terre. Lots of stairs and uphill climbs. Great for the young and fit but for the older generation and not so fit don't bring large suitcases. For the 65+ make sure you accommodation in on the bottom floor to avoid lots of stairs.
It was a great stay in Vernazza. The place has all you need for a visit to Cinque Terre. It is beautifully located overlooking the town. The view from the window is amazing. It's very close to the train station and steps away from trekking trail. Our bed was really comfortable and we slept well. Bathroom had great towels and was spacious. Francesca and her husband are wonderful hosts. I definitely recommend this place and Vernazza - it's the best of all 5 Cinque Terre towns and it is worth to stay there instead of just visiting.
Arguably the best spot in Vernazza!
The apartment is in the heart of Vernazza right above the main square overlooking the bay, you are literally steps from the beach.
The place is very well kept and equipped. The bed was also very comfy.
It was a convenient location being just 100m from the train mainly down hill on arrival, making it easy with luggage and not many stairs, which is hard to come by in Cinque Terre.
Marcella was also kind and accommodating, very responsive to messages. Check out and in was simple.
The location is extremely convenient to town and the train station. The view is fantastic and each room has its own balcony. The ladies that run Casa Cato could not have been more gracious and helpful! They offered lots of advice for visiting all the towns of the Cinque Terre, assistance with porter to help with luggage, apps to put on phone for CT places, etc. Breakfast is typically Italian with fresh pastries, fresh made coffee and cappuccino, fruit juices, etc.
The hospitality here is wonderful!
If you’re looking for a place with a beautiful view, then this is it. The view is simply unparalleled. The hotel is about 6 minutes drive to Vernazza which gives you a good starting point to visit the other towns via train. Room was big and spacious with good heating. Bed was comfy and toilet was spacious too. Staff were incredibly friendly and helpful. Breakfast was really good too. Will definitely come back if I’m planning another trip to cinque terre!
Gemmy's place was a perfect spot for our Cinque Terre adventure. The room is right by the train station and has a fridge, table, and adequate bathroom/shower set-up. Those with accessibility concerns should know that the rooms are up steep and twisting stairs, but for two able-bodied young people, it was a perfect combination or price and location. Vernazza must be seen to believed, and Solemagia was a great place to do it from.
Amazing location! Breathtaking view of Vernazza.
The staff are incredibly helpful- Lisa and Lorena went out of their way to make sure our stay was great.
They provide pictures on how to get to the property from the train station. They provided recommendations on what to do and where to eat in the Cinque Terre.
We had lunch at the restaurant - amazing food!
We will definitely be back! Thank you so much!
We didn’t want to leave. The views from the roof deck are fantastic; it is shared by two units, but there are two sections (town-side and sea-side) with furniture on both sides making it easier to share. Everything in the room was newer and in good condition. Federico was a great host, meeting us at the train station and providing a great orientation to Vernazza and the Cinque Terre.
Authentic Cinque Terre experience in a charming room perfectly located - near the train station and in the heart of Vernazza. The room and private bathroom were very clean. We also had a minifridge, a handy small table with shelves and a clothes rack. The host was welcoming and gave us helpful tips to explore Vernazza and its surrounding. Perfect for a short stay at Cinque Terre.
Comfortable, tidy room had everything I needed. Central location, close to harbor, restaurants and train. Good communication with host and was met quickly in piazza and led to my room. There are many stairs to reach apartment, but that's the case for many of homes in Cinque Terre. Glad I had just a small carry-on bag.
La Luna is located in the middle of Main Street of Vernazza. The most beautiful city in Cinque Terre. Just 2 minutes from wonderful port. Easy access for people coming by trains. Place was extremely clean and cosy. Paola is excellent host and her hospitality is beyond expectations. Thank you for everything.
The location is great, the apartment is spacious and comfortable and great for couples looking to stay in cinque terre and vernazza.
The small little river passing near the apartment and the sound of flowing water, makes the ambience even more relaxing!
Our stay was nothing short of amazing!
The location of this cozy room made it perfect for our weekend trip in cinque terre. Just under the castle view, we were part of the lifestyle of the Italian villagers living on these stairs. Chiara was very helpful and friendly which we loved!
Everything was awesome and perfect! The place is a paradise, so tranquil and beautiful. Yasi was very attentive and gave us great info about the property and the five villages that made up Cinque Terre. The food was also delicious.
A lovely newly remodeled property in San Bernardino, a mountain village located a couple of miles from Vernazza in Cinque Terre.
The property manager is offsite but very responsive thru WhatsApp. There’s great wifi available.
The location of the home is perfect. The terrace overlooks the beach and main square. Could not ask for a better location and view. Cinque Terre Riveria staff were outstanding, helpful accommodating and friendly
