By car to Cinque Terre

All parking areas in Cinque Terre, Levanto and La Spezia are marked on the map. The best thing to do would be to leave the car in La Spezia and take the train to Cinque Terre (approx. 8 minutes to Riomaggiore, the nearest village).

If you are on vacation outside the peak tourist season, you will find parking available in the morning, even in the parking lots in Levanto and Monterosso. To go to these locations, however, it is much more convenient to use public transport.

Although neither the roads nor the parking areas are suitable for a large amount of traffic, it is possible to rent a car in Cinque Terre. It is easy to book online on this site with a discount of 30%.

Parking in La Spezia

The easiest option for motorists is to leave the car in La Spezia, given also that this city is the best starting point for traveling through the Cinque Terre and to Porto Venere; here, as well, there are more “capacious” parking areas compared to those of other places nearby.
